This MSF structure provides an emergency and stabilization centre through an outpatient department and a 45-bed inpatient department. There is also a 15-bed maternity service. The current focus is very much on post-earthquake emergency and pediatrics. 35 patients are currently hospitalised, 50% of them children. There is an average of 6 deliveries every day. There are an average of 80 to 100 consultations each day, mainly children.

 

   
Food and Water Locations:  Feb 6 From WFP Food Distribution Update 2/2/10 “Sixteen of the planned food distribution sites have been activated across metropolitan Port-au-Prince.  There is an ongoing public messagingcampain through radio spots and leaflets to repeat the message that coupons are beingdistributed to families affected by the earthquake, the coupons are not for sale and that only women are allowed into the distribution site.

    Jan 26 PORT-AU-PRINCE – Haitian police and civilian volunteers, assisted by the U.S. military distributed more than 43,800 hand-held radios self-powered radios at major distribution centers in Cité Soleil, the Presidential Palace, the Petionville Club and other affected areas throughout the city.
